Monitoring alerts

When we say 'monitoring alerts', we really mean 'incredible situational intelligence'.

Our alerts include diagnostic information such as who is using a device, which processes are using most of each resource, the processor, disk and memory configuration and so much more.

Application metering

Understand the individual technical needs of each user you're responsible for supporting.

Metering data makes it possible to:

  • Identify the users most impacted by a vulnerable or unstable application.
  • Determine individual resource needs.
  • Standardise version installations.
  • Remove unused applications.
  • Justify licence assignments / costs.

Reliability indexing

Windows maintains a system stability score in the background, which is influenced by error events, user behaviour, application stability and the volume of system changes, such as Windows updates.

We monitor this score for each device and plot it against an organisation daily average, enabling you to spot problematic devices in seconds and take corrective action.

Monitoring templates

While our default template is suitable for the majority of customers, you can easily create monitoring templates and assign them to device groups and organisations. Perfect if you'd like to selectively adjust the enabled alerts and their thresholds based on differing customer profiles, such as VIPs and executives.

Asset inventory

Node Patrol records user/device affinities so you can easily track who had which device and when. The data is especially useful for monitoring license assignments, device configuration and component serial numbers.

We're working on providing API access and native integrations enabling customers to synchronise this data with their existing asset management databases.

Windows updates

Larger organisations are likely to have dedicated patching systems and processes, but new and small businesses are often left in the dark with no central reporting.

We make it simple to view the updates...

  • available to be installed
  • downloaded but not installed
  • that are marked as mandatory
  • requiring a reboot after install
  • that have been superseded or failed

Multi-organisation support

Perfect for larger customers and IT service providers, our multi-organisational support makes it possible to view and manage devices in multiple organisations, as well as restrict permissions and share device credits (to benefit from volume purchase discounts!).

Users can switch between organisations in the top navigation menu, or opt to view data for all of the organisations they have permissions for.

Support integrations

We're in the late stages of testing native integrations with a number of popular support tools, such as the Node Patrol Support Assistant for JIRA service desk.

In this example, we automatically determine the device currently in use by the ticket requestor, and load it's configuration and issues matrix in the ticket view side panel.

Application governance

Node Patrol monitors and alerts to the install, update, crash or removal of applications.

Application errors and crashes are recorded against the application version, so you can see which versions are most stable and change the versions impacting system stability and user productivity.

Simple user management

We're big supporters of the role-based access control system! Simply create users groups based on user roles and responsibilities, apply the permissions to the group, and assign the users to the group. Permissions are additive, so you can add users to multiple groups.

There's no limit of the number of Node Patrol user accounts, so go ahead and invite the whole team!
